This isn't an official "Going to ****" message I'm leaving. I haven't been very active these past few weeks, so I figure I should provide some kind of explanation for that and for the months to follow. The rest of this year (and maybe up into January and February next year even) are, without a doubt, set up to be one of the most trying and busy times of my life. I will not be around much. I'll try and stop in a few times a month, but I really need to avoid distractions as much as possible - telling you all this I believe will dissipate the feeling of obligation I have to be active. And because I will be sporadically active at best in the coming months, I feel it only proper to relinquish my position as a moderator here, so that it may be filled by someone else (there are plenty of worthy ones here). I don't wish to "retire", but I feel it necessary for the time being due to my upcoming prolonged absence - had this problem not confronted me, things would continue as they always have. It's up to you, dscuber, if you'll wish to reinstate me after I return to being a regular here, but if you choose not to, I won't be angry or displeased. Others deserve the same opportunity for reward as I did. Alas, it grows darker by the minute, and my tasks do not (unfortunately) diminish with the receding light. I hate to do this at so critical time, but it is the way things are. Keep the forum alive and healthy while I'm gone! And farewell, for a time! :scuba: |
