They added a lot of weapons, the game looks a lot cleaner (especially in animations), there are five new scenarios, and there are a lot of new multi-player modes. I think Valve fanboys just aren't used to a sequel coming out this soon and they have no idea how to react. Speaking of which, the founders of the L4D2 protest were invited to Valve, they played the game, and then they abruptly ended their protest. :D
