Version 3.0.1 of the forums has been released. Most of these features are simple house-cleaning things from the Zetaboards conversion and all that, so don't expect incredible new features that revolutionize the way the Internet handles forums. Skin fixes Some images that were left out were fixed, along with a couple color changes. The emoticons have been changed to the default Zetaboards emoticons that happen to match our board fairly well. There was also a line-break problem in the affiliates reel that has been fixed. Automated news image While you guys shouldn't notice a difference, this feature means a lot for me.  On the homepage, there is a major news story that is highlighted and it also shows an image. Originally, I had to tell the code which image to use, but I found that kind of annoying since I had to look at a list and find the right number that corresponds to each image. Now, I have a code that scans the news headline and automatically picks the image for me. Classy!  Removed Warn System The Warn System has been removed for three solid reasons: 1. Our staff never used it. 2. Our staff never really had to use it. 3. With the Xbox Live gamertag code, there was a lot of vertical scrolling on topic pages so taking out the warning labels off each member's mini-profile helped shrink the page. I wanted to put Today in Gaming back up in this update as well, but I think I may have accidentally deleted the entire code. It is a HUMONGOUS code, so hopefully I'll find it when I frantically look for its back-up.  Version 3.0.1 works in the five main web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Opera) and on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. I would appreciate it if someone makes sure the homepage works fine in Windows 7 if they already have it.

Sweet. I didn't think it would be any different from XP or Vista, but with Microsoft, backwards compatibility is always a mystery. |
