The game sales from October in North America are finally here!

Hardware:

1. Wii - 506,900
2. DS - 457,600
3. PS3 - 320,600
4. 360 - 247,700
5. PSP - 174,00

The PS3 was the winning console last month, but the Wii took back the top spot with seemingly little effort. The Xbox 360 has come in third in home console sales for the second month in row, which should be sending messages to Microsoft right now. It's worth mentioning that the PSP Go released on the first day of October, yet the PSP sales seemed completely unaffected by it. Not good for the PSP.

Software:

1. Uncharted 2 (PS3) – 537,000
2. Wii Fit Plus (Wii) – 441,000
3. Borderlands (360) – 418,000
4. Wii Sports Resort (Wii) – 314,000
5. NBA 2K10 (360) – 311,000
6. Halo 3: ODST (360) – 271,000
7. NBA 2K10 (PS3) – 213,000
8. Forza Motorsport 3 (360) – 175,000
9. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (DS) – 169,000
10. FIFA Soccer 10 (360) – 156,000

Sony should be partying hard right now. They finally have an exclusive game that sells extremely well and is not called Metal Gear Solid 4. Surprisingly, Borderlands did very well too. The new Wii Fit Plus sold a ton of copies, which is to be expected for a $20 game with a huge brand name. Forza 3 sold great considering it only had four days in October to sell.

The PS3 is making a comeback. I don't think Nintendo has anything to worry about, but Microsoft needs something big and fast. Natal is not it. :D
