Satoru Iwata talked a little bit about some of the next big things for Nintendo, specifically the next Zelda game for Wii and the next Nintendo handheld. For Zelda Wii, he confirmed (again) that they are shooting to release the game before 2011 but he offered new details on what is in store for Nintendo's next handheld. First of all, it will not be another iteration of the DS, but will finally be a completely new system. It will also detect movement, which isn't completely unexpected given Nintendo's success with the Wii. Finally, he said that the new handheld will have "highly detailed graphics" though I would take that with a grain of salt considering that this game from the man who said the Wii's graphics "will wow you."

I'm excited! ^_^ It seems pretty certain that Nintendo will unveil the thing at E3 this year, along with Zelda Wii. Should be a good E3 for Nintendo.

It's using a Nvidia Tegra for the graphics. It is VERY possible that it will have graphics much better than the PSP.
Although I don't like the movement detection idea.... for a handheld?

Reminds me of the iPhone, though in the iPhone's case, I don't think very many games took real advantage of the accelerometer. Most games used it only because of a lack of physical buttons, which I'm hoping the next Nintendo handheld won't have.

Have you played Jelly Car? That game actually works quite well on the Touch without being a "board" or puzzle game.

Many clans (like our past affiliate, the ODL) have been literally hacked and destroyed simply because of some stupid clan war. I wouldn't necessarily want to get into that, but we have to have some kind of WiFi action. I think inter-clan prevents most of that.

Glad to see that you're back. ;)

Yeah, and it is pretty good, but I can't imagine it being a game on its own. As long as Nintendo doesn't go crazy and take away a lot of buttons with their next handheld, I'm fine.
