Anybody here a reader? Anything to share about past or present books? Or hell, literature of any format, be it internet, comic book, newspaper, magazine, or anything else. ATM, I have a huge reading list that I'm slowly grinding through. As much as I'd like to be at the moment, however, I'm not one of those people who goes through a book every week... Mah list: McQueen by William F. Nolan All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remerque (I found this one in a trash can at my school :/) Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy Blackjack-33 by James C. Donahue The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens The War of the Worlds by H.G.Wells Band of Brothers by Stephen E. Ambrose Fallen Eagle by Harold E. Wills Snow Falcon by Craig Thomas Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons Total Titanic by Marc Shapiro America's Last Days by Douglas Mackinnon Star Wars: The Han Solo Adventures by Brian Daley
Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll Black Hawk Down by Mark Bowden The Secret Sharer by Joseph Conrad |

I haven't read anything new since the last Harry Potter book. Even in school I've happened to get slacker teachers as my English teacher the last couple of years.

Wow... Dscuber's got the same idea. For the longest time, all I read were Star Trek books. I even stopped reading those. I hate that I don't read. I'm thinking of getting back into it though. It'll probably help me focus on my writing. However, I would be very particular of my readings: Philosophical things (Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Buddha, Nietzsche are my main interests) The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli Mythology books Icelandic Sagas Other books about Vikings A Clockwork Orange Post Apocalyptic books (good ones) Books about zombies Maybe interesting Astronomy, Paranormal/Cryptozoology books Epic Poems (Gilgamesh, Odyssey, Beowulf, Divine Comedy, Paradise Lost, King Arthur and others) Other classical literature (Shakespeare stuff and more) The Bible Those are where my interests are. I like Kawagner, lots of enlightening material there. I can't believe I forgot to put down the Bible. I definitely need to read that one of these days. I heard something a while back saying that the average American spends four hours watching TV daily. Four hours.Daily. Can you imagine how different things could be if people spent that time reading instead? |

I need to read "Mein Kampf" too. Does "Origin of Species" read like a normal book would? |
